The prince of Lucis joins the fight wielding his iconic Engine Blade, alongside other weapons, taking down enemies with
powerful sword strikes and blows.

The game's combat helps too; you'd be surprised how tactical you can be with only a couple of different
sword strikes and a truly
powerful counter.
You'll start out a simple Freelancer who uses
sword strikes to attack and can learn useful abilities such as Examine to learn about the monsters you face, but you'll soon be able to wield
powerful elemental magic with the Wizard class (who, usefully, can cast defensive as well as offensive spells), or equip multiple weapons at once as a Charioteer (basically a horse - inspired warrior).
Powerful moves like the jump attack and spin attack, or rapid and repeated
sword strikes are most effective.
Before starting the final three missions to fighting the big boss, you will receive a new
sword that is
powerful enough to kill anything with one calculated
strike or a melee move.
