Always surprisingly
practical for a mid-engined sportscar, the Cayman's front and rear
load areas are plenty big enough to swallow everything two could want on a weekend away.
With the 60:40 split rear seats folded down,
load space goes up to 1,004 litres, which beats the Polo's 952 - litre
area but not the
practical Skoda Fabia's 1,150 - litre offering.
Even if you
load the Mercedes to the rafters, there is more space than you might expect, and the CLS Shooting Brake turns out to be a very
practical car - thanks in part to its width long
load area.
The trunk space too is not quite up to expectations, a narrow
load space, rear seats that do not fold down and smaller than average cargo
area make it less
practical for
load lugging duties.
Other
practical features include the option of twin sliding doors for the
load area with electric hands - free operation, and Peugeot also makes much of the Expert's relatively small turning circle.
The cargo space however makes for a far more
practical vehicle as with the rear seats folded you get a cavernous
loading area.
Its hatchback configuration makes it highly
practical and luggage capacity is augmented by the (now reduced in size by the bio weapon defence pack) front
load area in the place where an engine would normally reside.
All seats except for the driver's can be folded flat for a huge
load area, making it a very
practical car.
Because the hatchback boot allows for easier access to all luggage, the Toledo is more
practical than it looks from the outside, and you can easily fold down the rear seats to expand the
load area even more.
