In the
legal profession to which I belong (now as an unlicensed non
practicing lawyer) it is punishable misconduct to tell untruths and half - truths as an officer
of the court or in one's private dealings with
members of the public.
Based upon the mentor's experience as a partner and an experienced attorney, he or she should offer information to the associate about the
legal profession, along with firm policies and
practices and how to build professional and personal relationships with other
members of the firm.

of Kamloops, Province

AALAM serves as a professional and social network for its
members, who
practice in all sectors
of the
legal profession.
It is ultimately a matter for the judge to apply the law in each individual case, but it would be helpful for both
members of the
legal profession and expert alike to be able to access court decisions in such difficult cases, including in the County Court and Court
of Protection, to be able to enrich their understanding
of the application
of MCA 2005 in
practice.
2 - 23.2 (1) A lawyer must not practise law in an MDP unless (a) the lawyer and all
members of the MDP are in compliance with Rules 2 - 23.1 to 2 - 23.12 and the Professional Conduct Handbook, (b) all lawyers who are
members of the MDP have obtained express permission under this Division to practise law in the MDP, (c) all non-lawyer
members of the MDP are
of good character and repute, (d) all
members of the MDP agree in writing (i) that practising lawyers who are
members of the MDP will have actual control over the delivery
of legal services by the MDP, (ii) that non-lawyer
members of the MDP will not interfere, directly or indirectly with the lawyer's (A) obligation to comply with the Act, these Rules and the Professional Conduct Handbook, and (B) exercise

of articling — or if not articling, what to have in its place — the impact
of technology on
legal practice, the access to justice imperative, the experience
of racialized
members of the
profession, mental health among lawyers and law students and so on and so on.

After working as a public accountant with Grant Thornton, LLP in Cleveland, Gregory Johnson entered the

of some
of members of the
legal profession and industry broadly; and acknowledging that black and women practitioners have not been treated in line with the foundational constitutional values
of equality; the right to equal access; the right for everyone to choose and
practice their
profession freely, and

Some judicial leaders have suggested that state bars promote mentoring as a way to ensure that new lawyers receive guidance from experienced ones in how to engage in law
practice in accordance with the duties, responsibilities and expectations
of members of the
legal profession.

practice, then, most SLAPP lawsuits (perhaps all) exist because a
member of the
legal profession was prepared to represent the corporate litigant.

practice law, or to hold themselves out as a
member of the
legal profession.
