Not all policymakers and
practitioners are convinced that
student and teacher
voice is reliable, consistent, and impactful, or they are unaware
of how to effectively incorporate these
voices.
I have been told by
student voice practitioners that this approach has been adapted for use in: a) primary grades using drawings to express ideas; b) guidance departments to ensure the needs
of all
students are met; and c) a whole school event (secondary school) to gather ideas from
students to inform the school improvement plan.
In turn, education
practitioners can use rich multimedia resources to create opportunities for transformative learning experiences, to give learners
of diverse needs, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds a
voice, to enable
students with various life commitments to study, and to find new ways
of enabling learners to reach their desired goals.
