@SeanNJ, I would think the meetings would primarily
be about educating the public on the separation of church and state and opposing religious encroachment on the public / government arena, e.g. creationism / ID
in the science
classroom, ten commandments displays
in government buildings, school sanctioned
prayer or religious activities.
On the other hand... If the student's «
prayer» or carrying of a Bible
is causing a disruption
in the
classroom or disturbing the educational process unduly, then the school
is correct to reduce said disruptions.
If they would stop trying to push their faith into the science
classroom, their organized
prayers into school functions, and their faith into my bedroom and
in my docotr's office, I would
be happy to live and let live.

in our journals,
in our hearts, and
in thousands upon thousands of tearful, faithful
