I have attended great churches all across this country, all my life — never once have I met a pastor who was «afraid» to
preach because of money.

Because if they put those billboards up in my front yard I would laugh at them for spending
money on «
preaching to the chior» for lack
of a more apropos phrase
Jeremy thanks for your comments alot
of this i never really thought about before until you provoked me to seek the truth in the word it is what we all should be doing finding the truth for ourselves God wants to reveal mysterys if we are open to hear.If we have been christians awhile we just take the word
of whoevers
preaching or whichever clip we see on god tube its knowledge but not revelation.
Because the story sounds plausible we tag that on to our belief for example for many years i believed that the rich young rulers problem was
money so the way to deal with that problem is to give it away and be a follower
of Jesus sounds plausible.Till you realise every believers situation is different so the message has to be universal. So the reason its not about
money because it excludes those that do nt have it and does nt make room for those that do have it but do nt worship it.The rich young ruler was not a bad person he lived by a good moral code but he made
money his idol he put that before God.The word says we shall not have any idols thats a sin and a wicked one.In fact there wasnt any room in his heart for Jesus that is a tragedy. So when we see the message is about Idolatry we all have areas that we chose not to submit to God thats universal everyone
of us whether we are rich or poor.I believe we are unaware that we have these idols what are some
of them that was revealed to me our partners our children our work our church our family i can sense some
of you are getting fidgetty.
Often, it falls back on the hearer to not allow themselves to be controlled or manipulated, at least to an extent where it is unhealthy for them... and each one
of us has to discover where that line is for ourselves (I'm still learning to say «no, I can't do that» and I'm still learning to not put more
money in the offering plate
because the pastor told us he's
preached 47 Sundays in a row without a vacation).
Because, you know
of course, Jesus was a rich man
preaching about the wonders
of money.
And will you
preach that philosophy to the person that lost what they were owed
because of your greed to help them get out
of debt and the person that they owed
because you helped the person that owed them
money and so on so you help them file bankruptcy so the prison they cheated files bankruptcy so the people they owed has to file bankruptcy all the while you make more and more
money isn't that a great position to be in while your telling these people it is ok to be unreliable and be a credit risk for 7 years minimum when everyone knows it's atleast ten then you start building so try closer to 15 years tell the truth not just the parts that make you sound like a shepherd instead
of the wolf in sheep's skin that you really are.
