Choosing between the Amex Blue Sky and the Blue from American Express comes down to asking yourself one question — do
you prefer Membership Rewards points or Blue Sky points?

The standard offer on the Sapphire Preferred is better, and I
prefer to earn Ultimate
Rewards points because they suit my travel goals best, but that doesn't stop me from earning
Membership Rewards points as well.

Look at the different transfer partners for Chase Ultimate
Rewards, American Express
Membership Rewards, and Citi Thankyou
Points and see if there are any partners that you
prefer over any others.
(Depending on your
preferred carriers, Ultimate
Rewards can be worth more than
Membership Rewards, so earning fewer
points isn't a huge problem).

Rewards points much more than double
