I still
prefer eink for pleasure reading over lcd for comfort.
As for the display in comparison to eInk and extensive reading: the screen is very good, I still
prefer eInk for long reading without distractions.
I prefer eInk ereaders and my favorite software is the CoolReader so I recently decided to install the android CoolReader in my NookHD + to satisfy my curiousity.
I do not buy ebooks from apple mainly because
I prefer eink and I hate the iBook interface.

I
prefer the jetBook Lite's screen over
eInk because the text is blacker.
However, after using readers based on
eInk, I strongly
prefer to read on such a device (be it a kindle or sony reader) than to read on a backlighted LCD screen.
There's still a strong market for eReaders, of course, as their
eInk displays and ridiculously long battery life are generally
preferred by those who just want to read things on a tablet device.
I
prefer reading on an
eink device versus reading on an LCD screen and now that I have the Nook Touch, I can't imagine that the Nook Color will get any more attention than it has in the past.
Even though I could easily read all my books on that Android tablet I still
prefer to do all my long - form reading on an
eInk device.
If someone (like me) is happy to read on
eInk and
prefers a more powerful tablet the Fire is not a good choice.
