The National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) recently released Some Assembly Required: Piecing Together the Preparation
Preschool Teachers Need.
As the grade span of a teaching certification broadens, training programs are less likely to provide the specific emergent literacy and oral language skills that
preschool teachers need.
A new NCTQ study to be released next week explores whether programs are delivering essential content
