An international, multigenerational group exhibition, Less Than One offers in - depth presentations of work from the 1960s to the present by artists central to the Walker's collection.

The exhibition «Parapolitics» brings together artworks from the 1930s to the present by artists that prefigure and reflect the ideological and formal struggles arising from the cultural Cold War, but also works by contemporary artists critically reassessing the normalized narratives of modernism.

Not to Play with Dead Things pays overdue attention to these frequently orphaned props of performance art, documenting works from the 1960s to the present by artists as diverse as Richard Jackson, Paul McCarthy, Roman Signer, Mike Kelley, Franz West, Jim Shaw, Guy de Cointet, John Bock, Spartacus Chetwynd, Catherine Sullivan and Erwin Wurm.

It features recently acquired works made from the early 1990s to the present by artists who explore these concepts.

The location alone — a military site formerly accessible only to a few and now open to all — is itself a democratic concept that upholds the ideals being presented by the artists tackling difficult topics like displacement and loss.

Some 6,000 manufacturers and retailers will flock to the booths of individual artists and studios to discover the new work of more than 1,000 designers presented by the artists themselves, design studios and agencies that license and / or sell original artwork for product development for both consumer and institutional markets.
