Meeting the curriculum and assessment requirements, completing
risk assessment documentation, complying with ethical standards and State Government requirements can
present a
myriad of challenges for the Science Department.
Quantitative estimates of costs and benefits associated with particular policy options can inform responses, but such valuations face a
myriad of issues, including the choice of which impacts to «internalize» within the economic valuation, the value of future versus
present risk, and how to compare different types of impacts on a common scale (e.g. (Arrow et al. 2013; European Commission 1995; Johnson and Hope 2012; Muller et al. 2011; National Research Council 2010, hereafter NRC2010; Nordhaus and Boyer 2000)-RRB-.
