The
content of my
presentation was largely based on my earlier post on Slaw on «How Virtual Law Firms Attract and Retain Great
Legal Talent.»
The
presentations that day had included announcements by LexisNexis
of online products organized by areas
of legal practice that included collections
of secondary
content linked to primary data already available on Quicklaw.
We've experimented with a range
of shareable
content including videos from YouTube,
presentations from SlideShare, Hollywood previews, sometimes heady, but entirely fascinating, position papers from Scribd and
of course, our favorite,
legal infographics.
The
presentation focused on the unique
legal challenges
of new social media applications; how human resources,
legal professionals, and police departments can use social media
content in their investigations and in litigation; and how lawyers have faced
legal trouble due to their social media activity.
Recent
presentation topics have included: «Chatbot Hotspots:
Legal & Business Issues Every Social Media Marketer Needs to Understand,» «Keeping up with the FTC: Social Media Influencers and Developing Ad Laws,» «Risks
of Corporate Communications & Blurred
Content / Native Advertising,» «A Review
of Recent National Advertising Division Social Media Cases,» and «Hashtag Law —
Legal Issues in Using Hashtags in Advertising and Social Media.»
