Second, it is more difficult to reduce excessive weight in adolescents and adults once it becomes established; therefore, it may be helpful to initiate obesity prevention interventions during early childhood.16 There is a growing consensus that the appropriate period to target obesity prevention interventions is the early years in a child's life.17 The aim of the present review was, therefore, to examine the evidence for environmental influences on dietary determinants of obesity, focusing on younger children (birth to 8 years).

This paper: presents current research on the types of interventions used with parents whose children are receiving treatment, with a particular focus on group therapy for parents; reviews the current literature on group work with parents whose children are receiving treatment; and presents the results of an exploratory study of the incidence of concurrent group therapy for parents whose children are receiving treatment.
It is no surprise, therefore, to find that the research presented in their review is focused on understanding particular characteristics of family - centered help - giving practices and the links to social emotional development in children.
An earlier consultation was published in 2009 which aimed to review the accessibility and focus of the data, with the aim to aid consideration of how data could be better presented.
Previous examination of the literature in this area has focussed on frequently cited measures without systematically examining all available measures.5 This present review extends these findings by commenting on recent validation work carried out on the previously reviewed measures.
The present review will focus specifically on psychosocial factors associated with psychological adjustment in IVF patients, and will additionally include literature published in the years since previous reviews (Verhaak et al., 2007; Gourounti et al., 2010).
