There's some terrific supporting material in that
cast list, but everybody onscreen looks, and has
excellent reason for feeling,
pretty embarrassed about the whole thing.
The performances were
pretty good: Hemsworth was perfectly
cast; Hiddleston was a menacing revelation; Skarsgard provided
excellent gravitas throughout; and everyone else did a great job.
Despite the
excellent cast, the trailer looks
pretty dire.
But mostly this is a next - generation Quentin Tarantino / Guy Ritchie knockoff with
excellent performances from the outstanding
cast, a couple of
pretty decent twists, some bloody good laughs and — well, that's about it.
The Blu - ray presentation is
pretty excellent but everything else about Camp Rock 2 falls flatter than its
cast when hitting high notes.
