Seriously — it's the perfect trick for
pretty muffin tops.
And I second Erika's comment — definitely some of
the prettiest muffin tops (hehe) I've ever laid eyes on!
Not exact matches
I've made this again where I cut all the English
muffins into quarters and made a
pretty pattern on
top.
To make them extra
pretty, I like to
top the «
muffin» pies off with homemade whipped cream, a halved pecan, and a dash of cinnamon.
They are
topped with a simple buttery oatmeal streusel
topping sprinkled over the
tops before baking, which not only tastes incredible, but gives these Fig Buttermilk
Muffins that
pretty, bakery look.
The sea salt flakes on
top are
pretty on the dark
muffins and I'm sure they add a nice crunch of saltiness.
Normally I don't include streusel
toppings when I make
muffins, as they just add extra fat & sugar and aren't usually necessary, but since these were
pretty low fat unto themselves, I decided to give it a shot.
For more almond flavor and to look
pretty, you could place sliced, toasted almonds on
top of the
muffins before baking.
Although made in individual - sized servings, these
pretty muffins follow the basic concept of all upside down cakes, that is, fruit on the bottom and cake on
top.
Last is the crown for our
pretty blueberry
muffins — the crumb
topping!
Sweet
muffins loaded with fresh, ripe blueberries and
pretty little domed
tops are worth it.

The
tops of the
muffins were rounded but as they cooled collapsed so they are not as
pretty as your pictured but still very yummy!
Put into prepared
muffin tin and put into the preheated oven (I sometimes press some dried cranberries in
top because they are
pretty).
If I was not going to be taking photos and trying to make these look all cute, the first batch would have been a winner, but of course I over-filled my cupcake tins and ended up with giant
muffin tops that just did not look
pretty.
