pretty much anything but I've loved making memory
photo books.
Inspiration could come from anything really, but for me surrounding my working space with
books (this means having all my favourite fashion, street style, foodie and photography
books on my desk), gorgeous smelling candles, decor pieces I love (
photo frames,
pretty mugs & statement pieces),
pretty stationary, as well as my walls filled with inspiring prints & pictures is essential.
Use baskets for extra concealed storage, and be sure to incorporate a few
pretty pieces along with the utilitarian ones:

A lot of people were oohing and ahhing over the New York Social Diary's collection of
photos showing famous authors with their dogs (and they are

When I joined Instagram with a dedicated author profile, I was shocked and awed that people spend so much time taking
photos of
books with flowers, pearls, tea, and other
pretty things.
I've found a few accounts that use their kindle as their
book for
photos and it actually looks
pretty great!
They do offer extra benefits at a cost, but if you are fine with your
book being available only through Createspace and Amazon.com, and if you have a cover
photo or don't mind using a stock
photo, then you can
pretty much do it all for nothing.
