topics, you'll be in
pretty safe territory.
So full disclosure, he does a lot of
pretty technical quantitative work on
topics like
safe drawdown rates, which I like a lot, having read his blog.
Thankfully, Scott Marshall, of the
Safe Driver blog, has a
pretty informative write - up on the
topic.
I have seen some
pretty nonsensical information on highly - regarded blogs: on
safe withdrawal rates (nope, a 50 % equity / 50 % bond portfolio will not last very long at a 5 % withdrawal rate), on Robo - advisers (not worth the extra fee) and other
topics.
While it certainly is
safe to simply avoid certain
topics altogether, the obvious ones being humor based on sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, politics, or religion, that
pretty much cuts your humor off from a large portion of life itself.
No matter what your culture, ethnicity, or background, it's a
pretty safe bet that you know something about each of these
topics.
