pretty obvious why MS don't make HDD
standard, to let open the possibility to launch a model without HDD, cutting price and reaching mass market before PS3 (and by the time they was developing 360's

standards) with the promise of creating a new generation of
hardware that can handle AI problems faster and more efficiently while potentially consuming less power — or even less space.
