The report discounts a significant body of peer - reviewed research that specifically shows positive effects of

previous months (see here and here), teacher educators can use the same resources that teachers have been using in the professional learning communities in their
schools and districts to connect good
assessment with good instruction.

assessment data indicates that 49 percent of all public
schools in the country did not make AYP in the 2010 — 11
school year, a dramatic increase from the 39 percent that missed the mark the
previous year.

As with
previous assessments, states will use the new tests for
school accountability determinations, but the tests will have the added purpose of clearly demonstrating students» reading and math readiness for entry into college and the workforce.

school; number of
school suspensions; delinquent and aggressive behavior outside
school; experience of sexual intercourse; rates of pregnancy; lifetime number of sexual partners; and frequency of using cigarettes, alcohol, and illegal drugs during the 6 - month period prior to the 15 - year interview.15
