Absolutely loved it, no horror film has ever actually scared me because I know the in and outs of how most of them are based but this film started like I would not have expected, it works based on
the primal fears of people and it's so simple but Wan works with that and terrifies you.

The statue enacts a dialogue that many
people feel internally, between a
primal fear that everything could come crashing down, and an exhilarating sense that we are, somehow, managing to keep it suspended in the ether
of nothingness.
So they draw the child into the spousal conflict on their «side» and induce the child's rejection
of you in order to reestablish their psychological defense against the experience
of primal self - inadequacy and to protect themselves from their terrible
fears of abandonment («I'm not the abandoned
person — you are.
