the principles of atheism and its cast of proponents do resemble a religion in a sense.

of ingenuity so subtle, and verbal methods so remote from intuitive insight or definite logical structures, that only deity could know with any assurance what was taking place), giving as justification the claim that the alternative position
of atheism is even more paradoxical (lacking, it may be urged, any
principle of cosmic explanation at all).
However, if there are groups
of atheists, and I am not saying there are, with organizing
principles like, elevating humanity, belief in evolution, belief in the big bang theory absent God, or other such beliefs consistent with
atheism as a belief, AND they organize to promote those beliefs and theories, or educate people regarding their belief that there is no God, then those groups consti tute a religious organization.
These two
principles lead to an objective definition
of what it means to be normal and explain why
atheism is so unsuccessful at transferring from one generation to the next, compared to religion - based value systems.
If I worked for a Christian group that went on missions, my
Atheism would prevent me from doing that type
of work out
of principle... so I honestly do not see the problem.
