The divine
priority in the Incarnation is symbolized both by the Annunciation, God's messenger announcing his
plan in advance, and by the virgin
birth — more precisely, the virginal conception — of Jesus; also by the concept of the pre-existence of Christ, whether as Logos or Son of Man.
