in that Liverpool team.He can destroy
midfield strategies.That's why I worry when I see us with no DMF.Years back (14/15) I remember Coquelin back pocketing Coutinho yet it's likely Wenger will bench him for no reason.That guy has so much potential if only he's used wisely.He has the abilityto mark players out of a game and intercept many passes.I know many of you will call me stupid and say he's average but imagine if Coquelin was used
in a very

The Gunners may have sorted out most of their
problems at the back and eventually started playing with a
defensive midfielder in Francis Coquelin, but Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott aren't really good enough up front to lead you to the title
Arsenal have had a longstanding
problem without a strong intelligent
defensive midfielder for many many years, but a few years ago Wenger got lucky when Francis Coquelin was recalled from a loan at Charlton and immediately became our beast
in that position.
You cant escape he fact that Podolski was played rarely and when he was he was played out of position much the same way that Wenger has assembled a squad of players most of which are a talented bunch, but, Wenger has failed to build a team who fit n with each other, we have a
midfield that overtly populated with players who al excel
in the same role BUT have no solid
defensive midfield talent and no options
in defence when players have crap periods or are long term injury
problems.
A long - term target for the Gunners this
defensive midfielder could be the answer to their
problems, but only when manager Arsene Wenger admits there is a
problem in holding
midfield.
He Exactly built the spine of the squad... He bought Baily, Lindelof as defenders, Paul Pogba and Matic
in Midfield, And Lukaku as forward... We have solved the
problem of forward by adding Lacazzate but still 1 attacking Player and 1 Hard Hitting

problems with the likes of Everton, Southamton, we need a manager with great players behind him like Pep Guardiola we need world class left / winger we need world class

To be fair to the young Frenchman, it was his consistency and the discipline he showed
in that
problem position of
defensive midfield, as much as his reading of the game, work rate and
defensive ability that made it such an impressive second half of the season for him.
my opinion is that OG has proven himself
in the last calendar year to be a top striker, its only us Arsenal supporters who don't rate him the way the footballing world see him, this season he has the best minute to scoring ratio
in the EPL, if he was playing for Chelsea we would all be wishing he was playing for us for double the salary and pay 60 to 70 million to buy him, almost every club has striker,

I don't even know why he started Welbeck ahead of Walcott
in the first place, Welbeck was giving away the ball too often on the right and wasn't helping Bellerin
in defence.Bellerin too can't be blameless for being caught out of position many times, he didn't even know who he was marking.The reason why we lost the

defensive midfield player needs to be a proper DM, ie good
in the tackle, closing speed to fix errors, sniffing out
problems before they develop.
It just highlighted once more that without Francis Coquelin the Gunners have a
problem in the crucial
defensive midfield position and it appears that the new signing Mohamed Elneny is more of an all - rounder.
I think the main
problem with AMs on the wing is that they are reluctant to get
in the penalty box, that's what makes Ramsey so effective, he is one of the only ones
in midfield these days who has no pace but knows when to run
in the box as support (resulting
in goals, freeing up the striker, or just getting an awkward
defensive position to take advantage of.
This
in itself can cause
problems for a Liverpool side who are looking for a
defensive midfielder rather than one who leaves his position and can be caught on the counter attack.
Both full - backs should close down balls lobbed into the area — a
problem with Milner's transition to full - back from
midfield — but the root of all the
defensive evils is the panic that sets
in when Liverpool try to defend a lead, and the inevitable disaster that befalls a team that should be winning.
