Skip most
processed foods, which means anything in a can,
box or bag.
Even though
foods that come out of a
box have plenty of nutrients, they also contain a lot of other things we don't necessarily want our body to have to filter and
process, like additives, added sugar, and the chemical byproducts of manufacturing.
Everything in your body, from the tissue that supports your skeleton to the neurons that fire signals from your brain to your feet run on the energy that's created by the
food we eat, and I personally would prefer to have body tissue made from real, whole
foods than tissue constantly bombarded by chemical byproducts of
food processing from something that came out of a
box and went through a factory full of chemicals and
processes I'd never even see or hear about.
A lot of «health»
food carbs that come in a
box or bag - like breakfast cereal, instant oatmeal, white or whole wheat breads / tortillas, most condiments, and many snack
foods - are all a
processed version of a whole
food, and the
processing alters the nutritional density of that
food.
By eliminating or decreasing
processed and
boxed foods, we reduce the negative influences of
processed salt on our bodies.
The most unhealthy
foods in our
food supply are actually
processed foods such as
processed refined vegetable oils, hydrogenated oils (trans fats), deep fried
foods, refined grains, refined sugars, and other
boxed packaged «mutilated»
foods.
Many of us are considering a dietary change, one with fewer
processed, «
boxed»
foods.
Read the label before purchasing

foods like veggie burgers.

Avoid
