For the producer of sodas,
processed foods etc it is cheaper than sugar.
I have always eaten pretty healthy (no sugar, white flour,
processed foods etc).

I have always struggled with pasta and rice and heavy
processed foods, leaving me with upset stomach
etc for days so i am trying to turn a new corner with my eating habits and i am loving my new obsession with rainbow bowls and smoothies.
Veganism, for example, can be unbelievably nourishing and rewarding if you interpret it to mean a diet full of veggies, fruit, quinoa, chickpeas, almonds, green juice
etc but refined sugar, white pasta and lots of
processed food can also be vegan and that's not super healthy!
Low - fat milk, bad fats such as margarine and other
processed vegetable oils, soy products (other than traditionally fermented soy
foods such as soy sauce, tempeh, miso
etc) are not ok.
I was diagnosed pre-diabetic back in January so I have cut out all
processed foods, flour, sugar
etc and have been using agave nectar for the small sweetening that I have had... and I've been using grapeseed oil for over a year now and love it.
Because oil is so concentrated, it can become addictive (like any overly refined /
processed foods, i.e., sugar, salt) and is hard to moderate, and concentrated
foods like these make us want to eat more of them and
foods that contain them, which are usually not the healthiest (bread, cookies,
etc).
I love making homemade versions of popular
processed foods — Hamburger Helper, granola, Lipton pasta sides packets,
etc — but homemade gluten - free enchilada sauce takes the cake.
My kid had a science project at school where we had to bring
processed foods to school (goldfish crackers, doritos, fruit snacks, luck charms,
etc) so they could light them on fire in class.
Sleep is a hormone dependent
process, and with all the variables in our lives that can affect proper hormone balance (
foods, toxins, artificial light,
etc) it makes sense that many people struggle with sleep.
Processed foods are dead because they are nearly completely devoid of essential characteristics (bacteria, enzymes, nutrients, co-factors,
etc) that play important roles in helping our bodies grow and function properly.
My opinion is, that if you really want to be healthy, and reduce your risk as much as possible to get sick from stroke, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, inflammatory disease
etc, the solution is a low fat (meaning no
processed oils), vegan diet (whole
foods, plant based), no
processed s..
I do believe that the change in my diet (no animal products at all, little or no oil, no
processed foods, no sugar
etc...) made the difference in my health.
Mini Challenge # 1 Cut out the grains, sugars, potatoes, beans and all
processed foods from your diet and focus on getting maximum nutrition from meats, vegetables, healthy fats (coconut, olives, coconut oil, olive oil, tallow, lard, butter, unprocessed cream,
etc) and fruits.
Check out practically any
processed food, and you will find at least one of these ingredients, often labeled as «partially hydrogenated corn / soybean /
etc.
I felt that it was important to cut out the caffeine,
processed foods (like breads, cereals
etc) and meats I like to eat for this few days — but it was also important to nourish my body with a similar structure to what it's used to, albeit a very pared down one.
If you are new to Traditional Diet and your pantry is still fairly loaded up with
processed foods in the form of chips, crackers, cookies,
etc — even if organic — it is best to use another traditional fat for cooking than chicken fat.
Modern life, with the stressors of money, traffic, social isolation, pollution,

etc were allowed in the overeating experiment... I was only allowed to overeat on healthy

I think people make this way too complicated... If you are just to focus on a good balance between fats, carbs, and proteins, and make sure to eat only natural unprocessed organic
foods (as close to their natural state as possible) instead of packaged,
processed foods, a lot of the problems that most people have with cravings, a sweet tooth, overeating, blood sugar swings,
etc all take care of themselves.

processed foods (breads, crackers, pasta, cereals, pizza,
etc)
Basically, it is the
process of transforming «toxins» that enter (via medications, skin care products, air,
food etc) or accumulate in our body (as a by - product of metabolism, hormones
etc) into waste products that can be readily excreted (via poop or pee).
(I am truly not trying to be eating disordered in my approach towards healing - I don't think I am the best judge of what I should be eating, but I also don't think what is often served as
foods in these programs (ie
processed snacks, sandwich bread, pasta
etc) is really fuel for healing.
However, when you might have a sickness coming on, this is no time to bombard your body with
processed foods, inflammatory omega - 6 oils (soybean oil, corn oil,
etc), fried
foods, high fructose corn syrup, refined sugars, wheat - based
foods or chemical additives.
But, we abuse our bodies through the consumption of modern,
processed, sugary, salty, refined
foods and through our modern lifestyles (stress, not enough sleep,
etc).
All animal products (meat, fish
etc), carbs such as rice, pasta, bread, and drinks like coffee and alcohol, not to mention
processed food and junk
food, are all acidic.
Also think about how many
processed foods we have that are either fried in soybean or corn oil... and even if the
foods are not fried in these oils, these oils are additives to almost every
processed food... chips, candies, cakes, salad dressings, tomato sauces, burrito wraps, corn chips, breaded chicken,
etc,
etc..
Soda drinks, sweets,
processed foods, enriched flour based products (white breads,
etc) were dragging me down and affecting my health.
Perhaps you should consider reducing your sodium intake to no more than 1500 mg a day, avoid ALL oils, all white flours and
processed foods, and consume a diet primarily consisting of complex carbohydrates, such as beans, potatoes, brown rice, oats
etc with veggies.
If you have noted weight gain while on the low FODMAP diet — it may be that you are relying too much on
processed foods and your goal should be to stick to
foods as close to Mother Nature as possible — leafy low FODMAP greens, acceptable fruits, lean meats
etc... You might have some other
food intolerances that are contributing to your scratchy throat — oral allergy syndrome — or perhaps another intolerance — I think it would be a great idea to connect with a registered dietitian.
If someone is on the standared american diet (SAD) and then eats «healthy» once a week, with healthy meaning no sugars or
processed foods and low carb,
etc.....
If you eat widely from all plant sources, including olives, nuts, avocados,
etc, with an abundance of fresh
foods and only limited
processed foods, and if you get plenty of sleep, plenty of exercise in the fresh air, enough water (you don't need as much if you have lots of fruit), and build good friendships and relationships where you support and help others, then your health will blossom, your weight will settle (although you can leave out the fattier
foods for a time to lower it if you need to), and your life will feel quietly satisfying.

Even the
processed soy based
foods that are marketed to vegetarians / vegans e.g. faux meats, milks,
etc are more often than not labelled as non-gmo.
When we discuss «
processed foods,» we are referring to
foods that are chemically produced, and do not come from nature (such as vegetables, fruits, meat, naturally occurring fats,
etc).
For example,
processed high - glycemic
foods like white rice, sugar, white flour, high - fructose corn syrup, pasta, bread,
etc spike our blood sugar and promote fat creation in the body.
Limit (or avoid)
foods that are higher in calorie density (dried fruit, high fat plant
foods,
processed whole grains,
etc).
Frequent over-consumption of sugar (including in most
processed foods, honey, marmalade, golden syrup, fruit juices, fizzy drinks), caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, marijuana,
etc all of which stress the pancreas as well as the adrenals.

The thing that is tough, though — is given that my goal is 100 lbs down by 2/23 (my birthday)-- it is frustrating when I deviate slightly (had one night where I ate quite a bit of carmel corn, and the next day big stirfry with light soy sauce,
etc)-- yet because I ate even more strict and cleaner than before for 11 straight days before that (not one cheat day,
processed food or meal), I gained 14 — yes 14 — pounds in water weight that two weeks later I have only lost 12 of, despite hitting the gym 6 times since, and continuing to eat stellar (no cheat - low sodium days)-- Funny thing is, my clothes are looser and looser --
My standard diet has a reasonable amount of carbs (homemade sourdough and fruit
etc...) not much sugar and little
processed food.
You can help by avoiding sugar,
processed foods, too much caffeine

Would simply keep the pigs diet as «piggy paleo» as possible — I.e. free from
processed foods, grains and seeds
etc / high in real
food?
Starchy or sweet
foods like flour, bread, banana,
processed foods, pizza, chocolate,
etc; may not be broken down adequately by your digestion — again causing a complex interplay between your immune system and your gut.
A chronic inflammatory
process is when some sort of trigger (pollen,
food particles,
etc) initiates a strong inflammatory
process that causes collateral damage to other tissues of the body such as the gut lining, blood vessels, the sinuses, the lungs, the joints,
etc..
Any anti-inflammatory effects of a Paleo diet are due to the elimination of
processed foods (white flour, sugar
etc).
You need to look at what you are eating and drinking and see if this could be causing your cellulite,
processed foods, sugars from sodas
etc, the «unhealthy fats» try to eliminate these from your diet as much as possible and if you increase the amount of
foods high in antioxidants to help fight free radicals.
ESPECIALLY:
processed foods, fast
foods, chips, chocolate, lollies, soft drink, milk shakes, hamburgers, fried chips, pancakes
etc
Hidden sources of sugar, including, unfortunately, HFCS: ketchup, deli meats (turkey
etc...) pasta sauces, and a variety of sauces at restaurants (does not need to be fast
food restaurant) and really, any
processed food.
