I haven't started making
nut milks yet and I do nt want to buy one as I know the
processed stuff isn't that healthy.

nut milks contain unnecessary
processed ingredients.
A raw foodist avoids heat -
processed grains and most animal products (although some consume raw fish,
milk and meat); raw foodists eat
nuts, seeds, sprouted grains, fruits and vegetables — ones that haven't been heated past 118 °F.
Note: This fresh sourdough starter is
processed in a facility that also packages products containing eggs,
milk, soy, tree
nuts, and wheat.
The
process is fairly similar to making any homemade
nut milk in the fact that you have to soak the soy beans, blend them with water, and then strain the liquid through a
nut milk bag.
So no honey until 12 months, no cow's
milk until 12 months, no soy cheese until 12 months, no chocolate until 12 months, no added sugar or salt until at least 12 months, no
processed or fried food, no peanuts, tree
nuts, or seeds (walnuts, pecans, etc.) until you have been given the ok by your child's pediatrician.
In addition, I didn't go out and buy a bunch of
processed vegan cheese products: Instead, I put avocado on everything, learned to love almond
milk, and ate extra veggies and
nut butters to fill the void cheese had left in its wake.
To score soys benefits, get up to three servings a day, mostly from less
processed forms like soybeans, soy
milk, soy
nuts, and tofu.
Now, after having completed the
process start to finish, I have discovered that it's as easy as making
nut milks.
