What's the potential for getting lean and achieving a health BMI for flexitarians (who eat mainly Whole Foods plant based and only eat meat occasionally but no dairy, eggs, milk,
processed oil etc) who exercise moderately in comparison to vegans with diet and little exercise?

The next thing is to get rid of inflammatory fatty acids such as
processed vegetables oils (corn, canola, soybean, safflower, peanut,
etc) and eat more good fats such as avocados, coconut fats, grass - fed butter and olives / olive
oil.
I was diagnosed pre-diabetic back in January so I have cut out all
processed foods, flour, sugar
etc and have been using agave nectar for the small sweetening that I have had... and I've been using grapeseed
oil for over a year now and love it.
Also, is there differences in
processing — I'm thinking of coconut
oil, or olive
oil,
etc and how you can get various flavors depending on the way it was handled.
Because
oil is so concentrated, it can become addictive (like any overly refined /
processed foods, i.e., sugar, salt) and is hard to moderate, and concentrated foods like these make us want to eat more of them and foods that contain them, which are usually not the healthiest (bread, cookies,
etc).
I do believe that the change in my diet (no animal products at all, little or no
oil, no
processed foods, no sugar
etc...) made the difference in my health.
Mini Challenge # 1 Cut out the grains, sugars, potatoes, beans and all
processed foods from your diet and focus on getting maximum nutrition from meats, vegetables, healthy fats (coconut, olives, coconut
oil, olive
oil, tallow, lard, butter, unprocessed cream,
etc) and fruits.
A diet consisting with lots of highly
processed simple carbs such as breads, sugars, pasta
etc... all contribute to increased fat (obesity) and then when you couple that with highly
processed refined oils like canola
oil, soybean
oil and other vegetable / seed oils you are setting yourself up for metabolic damage.
However, when you might have a sickness coming on, this is no time to bombard your body with
processed foods, inflammatory omega - 6 oils (soybean
oil, corn
oil,
etc), fried foods, high fructose corn syrup, refined sugars, wheat - based foods or chemical additives.
Also think about how many
processed foods we have that are either fried in soybean or corn
oil... and even if the foods are not fried in these oils, these oils are additives to almost every
processed food... chips, candies, cakes, salad dressings, tomato sauces, burrito wraps, corn chips, breaded chicken,
etc,
etc..
I understand that the
oil processing can causes rancidity
etc, but can you explain how the property of the phytoestrogens can be protective in one form but damaging in another form from the same seed?
