Upon reaching the first
proper area in the game, a few tutorials regarding dodging and blocking is provided, and in true Souls fashion, the player is thrust into the world with little to no hand - holding.

There is some necessary outlay
in the self - publishing
game — an edit, a proof - read and a
proper cover are the three main
areas requiring some upfront cash.
Be prepared for the fact that while the
game is quite easy to be creative with, there are some portions of the user interface that can be a pain
in the butt to do deal with, I'd rather just have a
proper tutorial, but the campaign does at least give you some inspiration toward designing your own over-sized play
area.
What you described would be a glitchless speedrun but the problem with those is categorizing what actually counts as a glitch (actions like walking out of bounds or boosting your movement speed using the
game's physics are
in the grey
area here) so I can't see how a vague category like this could be the «
proper» way to speedrun.
The level of precision that must be used
in some of the
areas while swinging or maneuvering through each one makes for a very hard
game but one with a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment once the
proper timing is realized.
The hardest
area in the
game proper, it is where players can trigger «Hardmode» by defeating the Wall of Flesh boss — a charming, screen - filling mass of exposed blobbery and bloodshot eyeballs.
