The Amanda Hansen Foundation creates
resources to supply the
public with CO detectors who could not otherwise afford them; educates, as to the real and imminent dangers
of CO poisoning, its causes, and it's prevention through the
proper use of detectors, and
proper installation / maintenance
of household appliances; works hand in hand with local and national organizations to future educate and promote awareness
of the dangers
of carbon monoxide; aims to enact local as well as national legislation to mandate that all buildings, both private and
public, be equipped with CO detectors, without exception.
[The conservation, development and utilization
of the agricultural, mineral, forest, water and other natural
resources of the commonwealth are
public uses, and the general court shall have power to provide for the taking, upon payment
of just compensation therefor,
of lands and easements or interests therein, including water and mineral rights, for the purpose
of securing and promoting the
proper conservation, development, utilization and control thereof and to enact legislation necessary or expedient therefor.]
