ethics watchdogs criticized Cuomo, who

measure in June, for not going far enough on reform
measures in Albany in the wake of a series of corruption scandals and arrests that have plagued the Legislature.
Cuomo introduced the legislation in the final weeks of the session after additional
ethics and campaign finance reform
measures he
proposed failed to gain any traction.
The
ethics package comes as lawmakers in Albany this legislative session have been largely focused on the economic
measures Cuomo is touting: A $ 15 minimum wage and a
proposed 12 - week paid family leave program.
