Survey, Dr. Ho and his colleagues studied cases of
psoriasis and depression in a pool of 12,382 adult
patients.
They sent
surveys to the
patient's general practitioners to determine the body surface area affected by
psoriasis as this information is not routinely available in medical records.
Based on the
survey, which included 477 people and was funded by pharmaceutical companies, the NPF now recommends that doctors ask
psoriasis patients these seven questions.
