Overall IQ was highly predictive of schizophrenia, and this association persisted after controlling for socioeconomic status, behavioral adjustment in childhood, drug misuse, urban upbringing, family history of psychiatric disorder, and
psychiatric disturbance at the time of testing.
There are also a host of side effects, that could be as minor as sleep
disturbances, loss of appetite, and facial tics, to paranoia and psychotic symptoms, other
psychiatric issues like bipolar disorder, depression, and suicide in those without a history of the disorders, and
at it can be fatal in those that have a diagnosed or undiagnosed heart condition.
