Trained in computational linguistics and fine arts, Hecker's work deals with specific compositional
developments of post-war modernity, electro - acoustic music and
psychophysical domains of audition.
My research, before I became interested in
development, was in perception, information processing, and
psychophysical scaling (e.g., Harris & Harris, 1984; Harris, Shaw, & Altom, 1985; Stevens & Harris, 1962).
