The Title IV - E Education for Public Child Welfare Program is a partnership between the University of Maryland School of Social Work and the Maryland Department of Human Resources to recruit and retain professional social workers as practitioners, supervisors, and administrators in Maryland's
public child welfare workforce.
The
child welfare workforce includes those employed in either the
public or private sector to provide professional services to
children and families who are engaged in
child abuse prevention programs,
child protective services, out - of - home care, adoption, or otherwise served by the
child welfare system.
