The project will also remodel and renovate core visitor areas — opening up the stunning domed atrium at the heart of the gallery with a striking new spiral staircase going down to the lower level — while creating much - needed learning studios and public spaces in order to meet growing demand.
His most recent curated projects include Zach Rockhill's reconstruction of Allan Kaprow's «Fluids» at The Cooper Union as part of Performa 07; «Performa TV» with artist Ronnie Bass, a 24/7 live video broadcast that served as an open, public platform for artists and organizers of Performa 07; «Beyond The Pale» at Moti Hasson Gallery (2007); and «Salad Days» at Artists Space (2006).

Based on Pietro Martini's classic engraving, The Exhibition at the Salon Du Louvre in 1787, Parterre refers to the open space in a the theater where the public could traditionally interrupt and intervene in performances, and their opinions, much as the populist bent of the Salon could do for the artist, could validate or obliterate a production's success.

Opened to the public in 1999 at the Soho branch of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, this exhibition of twenty - six paintings and thirty - six works on paper occupied the second floor of the Guggenheim's downtown satellite space for two years with major contributions from the Ayn Foundation, Brant Foundation, and the Andy Warhol Museum.

All three artists will meet and use the project studio at Studio Voltaire as a site of production and transmit a video signal of their collaboration as a performance into the gallery space, which they will then open to the public.
Each Sunday, the massive space opens free to the public so art - lovers can wander the studios, catch artists at work and take home unique finds as the ultimate Alexandria souvenir.
