gospel was brought home and men were moved to repent before God and to trust in him.
Mark is
preaching the
gospel; he is doing it by telling a story belonging to the world

of Jesus with his disciples were seen to be done, there was the Church founded by him.
When John Wesley traveled all over England, declaring the
gospel of Christ in the fields and on the village commons, in the streets
of large towns and in
public places in the countryside, he was still acting as an ordained minister
of the Church and he was still
preaching in the Church — although the authorities
of the Established Church
of England, regrettably, did not seem willing to recognize what should have been a patent and wonderful fact.
