Besides these hospitals, Belize has a network of around 60
public health
clinics and
rural health posts in many towns and villages around the country, providing primary medical and dental care.
Although some of the author's suggestions are not practical (people like myself who live in extremely
rural areas with few people / neighbors can not logistically be without a car, can not expect
public transportation, can not have interdependent / cooperative relationships with neighbors if there are no neighbors, can not have conveniences such as medical
clinic, shopping etc. in one «village» (I have to go 30 miles one way to buy food and other supplies) etc..
