If authors are looking to outsource aspects of the
publishing process to others, rather than do it all themselves, there are many other

But one organization in the UK, the Society of Authors, has stated in an interview with its head Nicola Solomon that the validity of the traditional publishers is questionable and goes so far
as to state the traditional

viable option,
as long
as there's a caveat that states the success isn't normal.
When self -
publishing first began to take off
as a

publishing and book sales, if not exactly for acceptance and respect), a typical scenario involved «resorting» to self -
publishing after disappointment from the traditional industry.
Self -
publishing is
as viable an
option as traditional
publishing if you are looking to get your book into the world.
I still lean towards traditional
publishing as my first choice but I love that self -
publishing is becoming a

as you would make by self -
publishing your book traditionally (finding your own book printing company and publicizing the book on your own).

publishing was seen

viable option, authors had to rely on big
publishing houses to market their books and audiobooks
as well
as through word of mouth.

But it's apparent that indie self -
publishing remains
as viable and robust a
