published pictures of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 being unboxed.
While I know RIM is bringing support for more Bluetooth profiles soon they have been kind enough to
publish exactly which ones are currently supported by the BlackBerry
PlayBook.

Jason Fincanon saw that RIM was offering a free BlackBerry
PlayBook to developers that came up with an application and had it
published in BlackBerry App World before the
PlayBook release, and decided to jump on it.
After fending off reports that the
PlayBook suffered from poor battery life (3 hours compared with 10 for iPad and 6 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab), RIM
published a blog post and video to tout the tablet.
This kind of isn't new news as BlackBerry UK managed to put the BlackBerry
PlayBook 3G + on their website last week and we were then allowed to
publish our short 3G + video.
I know that at some point BlackBerry will probably quit
PlayBook support altogether, but even though this update is good news for me it also ties in nicely with the open letter to John Chen we recently
published about BlackBerry 10 software updates.
RIM has
published a posting to their http://blogs.blackberry.com website, which announces the new platform's arrival for their
PlayBook device, although this isn't the much anticipated 2.0 version of the OS — only v1.0.8.4985.
As I write this review prior to the release of the device I don't think the full 3,000 have been made public yet (it's up to individual companies to
publish their apps as live), so hopefully come launch day the selection of
PlayBook apps will be larger and more enticing than what I have experienced so far.
It was only earlier this week that we
