crackers with the residual
pulp (sans dehydration).
My guess is that the
crackers crumble during the process if the
pulp is too wet.
I just made your
cracker recipe using leftover blanched almond
pulp with Asaro Agrumati Lemon olive oil and rosemary.
I was a little nervous as last week I used the almond
pulp to attempt someone else's recipe for
crackers and they turned out tasted «dusty» but these macaroons were salty, sweet goodness.
The
crackers made with almond milk
pulp will likely work even if your oven's lowest temp is 170F.
I also use the
pulp damp in pancakes and in Elana's recipes she has for
crackers using the damp
pulp.
Use the
pulp leftover from homemade nut milk to make
crackers or add it to muffins or quick bread for extra protein and fiber.
After you've made homemade almond milk, don't wash the leftover
pulp down the sink; turn it into these
crackers.
It's not just
crackers that you can use leftover almond milk
pulp to make — you can also make a wonderful sweet treat for you and the family to enjoy.
The drier
pulp can take the place of many bulking agents like flour and bread crumbs and can be used for
crackers, breads, cakes, desserts; you name it.
I use the the left over
pulp in smoothies, bread or
crackers.
Then I discovered that I could make
crackers out of the
pulp, oh bless your heart.
You can use the wet
pulp immediately after making a batch of almond milk, or you can store it in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days, to make these
crackers at your convenience.
It would be REALLY challenging to calculate calories for these
crackers, because much of the fat and calories are transferred into the almond milk — leaving just the fiber behind in the almond
pulp.
These
crackers are an easy way to re-purpose the almond
pulp leftover from making homemade almond milk.
You can make cereal or
crackers from the leftover
pulp that you remove from your cheesecloth.

However, if you have a dehydrator, you can actually use the
pulp to make raw bread, cakes, and
crackers (I used to do this back in the day).
We use a Excalibur dehydrator to make beef jerky, flax seed
crackers, dried fruit roll - ups, pancake mix from leftover carrot
pulp from the juicer and much more.
Discard remaining
pulp in bag or save it for another use like adding to smoothies or making
crackers.
