pumpkin picking season to be back!

We love to bring back some mementos in the way of a few
pumpkins for decorations, as well as fresh -
picked apples and other deliciously flavorful edibles to feast on and enjoy for the flavor of the
season.
I
picked up a bag of
pumpkin spice
pumpkin seeds at Trader Joe's during the early
pumpkin wave this
season, and I have to admit: they were really good.
It's a great breakfast or a
pick me up snack, especially when it's
pumpkin season!
With fall upon us (the
season's official start is in a few days), now I want to do all the fun outdoor adventures like apple and
pumpkin picking and hayrides with my entire family.

We thought the obvious way to celebrate the fall
season would be to go
pumpkin picking together!
In true October fashion, I finally made it to the
pumpkin village yesterday with Merritt to
pick out our first
pumpkin for the
season, watch all the kiddos run wild, and explore the Arboretum for the first time since we moved to Dallas.

pick your own
pumpkins here and berries during peak
season.

I'm looking forward to fall layers, jackets, scarves, warm drinks,

picking, fall baking, slow weekends, and all the other amazing things that come with this
season.
Hummm, I have collected my 3
pumpkins from my cousin's
pumpkins patch in the Berkshire Mountains; we
picked apples from apple trees, red raspberries and blueberries from their respective bushes (end of the
season berries — a bit tart) but they tasted great in the home made waffles that Emma made.
