I think my favorite holiday dessert is a tie between
pumpkin pie and pecan
pie, but I also love apple & pear crisps around this
time of year.
The season turned to fall this week, which means it's officially
time to break out the
pumpkin pie spice!
Heck, it has a seasonal latte named after it that people go crazy for this
time of year, so I know I am not the only one who is obsessed with
pumpkin pie flavor!
This looks like a
pumpkin pie, and given this
time of year that would be a logical assumption, but it is in fact a Caramel Tart.
Alternate between the parade, twitter, pickin my nose, and Audrey being placed on my head until it's
time to oversee Eggboy's annual
pumpkin pie production.
Pumpkin pie has always been my ALL
TIME favorite
pie.
It highlights the flavour and spices of
pumpkin pie but it doesn't involve the fussy and
time - consuming aspects of chilling and rolling out a
pie pastry crust.
With the stand mixer on slow, add in your dry ingredients one at a
time: sugar,
pumpkin pie spice, salt, baking powder, and xanthan.
This
pumpkin pie granola is a million
times better than actual
pumpkin pie.
In any case, I'll be making this crust to fill with Pecan Pie and

The warm, addicting flavors really ignite fall season — but don't think
pumpkin pie spice is only for one
time of year.
If you love
pumpkin spice (and / or
pumpkin pie), this is probably your favorite
time of year.
Most
times I just stir it in water and chug it, but sometimes I mix up a bowl of room temperature canned organic
pumpkin with
pumpkin pie spice, some Z - sweet or Swerve, and a couple of Tbsp of Bob's Red Mill unmodified potato starch.
I like spending
time with family, roasting turkey in oven and splurging on

Alyssa, This morning I made my current favorite breakfast oatmeal with 50 % quinoa flakes and 50 % quick oats (I added canned
pumpkin,
pumpkin pie spice, and topped with bananas and pecans)-- It turned out great in the microwave — I didn't have any coconut flour - plan to get some soon — but just with the added quinoa it is now lunch
time and I am still not hungry!
