Hi, I love this recipe but over here dates and dried fruit are quite expensive and not my preferred go to, would it be possible to sub them for some sort of non-dried fruit

we have a 4-1/2 month old and we've been slowly introducing the baby solids to him since he demanded more and more formula (which has been for about 2 months now) everyone told me to start him on rice cereal, we tried it and to this day it still messes his little tummy up for a few days (even though i» monly feeding him a tsp full of it with his
applesauce) as far as the baby
purees go he only eats
applesauce, so i decided to skip the baby
applesauce and just buy the regular natural
applesauce (much more — 75 % less cost wise) he loves it... i think he
likes it better than the baby stuff!
