Shortly after you finish
pureeing your first delicious batch of homemade
baby food and fill up the 2 old ice
cube trays you have had in your freezer for years, you are going to realize that you need to invest in a couple for freezer trays dedicated to just
baby purees.
After nursing her, I would put her homemade
baby food in this little bowl, and feed her two ice
cubes of defrosted homemade
purees.
You would use the ice
cube tray method (or whatever method of freezing you currently use) as you would for other
baby food purees.
You can make a batch of stock, freeze it in small portions (like in ice
cube trays) and then use the amount needed when thinning your
baby food purees.
We bake and
puree squash, potatoes, apples, yams, and other fruits and veggies on the weekends and store them in
baby food jars in the fridge or freeze them in ice -
cube trays.

To avoid wastage, make large batches of
purees and then freeze them in appropriately sized containers (many
baby shops have great first
food storage solutions) or even in ice -
cube trays.
You can put the
pureed baby food in the
cube tray before putting it in the freezer.
Due to the amount of water crystals that tend to build up with
baby food purees, and due to the fact that nutrients may leach / evaporate upon thawing because of the water crystals, it is more prudent to use your frozen
baby foods cubes as soon as possible — 3 months of storage tops.
If need be, thin your
puree food cube (s) when it comes time to feed your
baby.
An easy way to do this with very young
babies is to purchase small trays, similar to ice
cube trays, which can be used to store small portions of
pureed foods.
Step 5: Mash, strain and
puree the resulting «sauce» as needed — May be frozen in ice
cube trays for

You can also make lots of different
baby food flavours by mixing and matching different fruit and veggie
