purpose to their lives.

of unexpected crises as growth opportunities; (6) learning better methods
of spiritual growth — the maturing
of one's personal faith, working values, sense
of purpose, peak experiences, and awareness
of really belonging in the universe.

of the Faith Instruction on Respect for Human Life states, «By virtue
of its substantial union with a
spiritual soul, the human body can not be... evaluated in the same way as the body
of animals... The natural moral law expresses and lays down the
purposes, rights and duties which are based upon the bodily and
spiritual nature of the human person.»
