We had left the linoleum in place instead of carrying the wood floor all the way through because we had originally planned to
put tile in the kitchen area.

in my house, last week, so I was only out of the
kitchen for the better part of a week — and that was long enough.

tile is nice, I think that's what I want to

We're
putting in marble subway
tile in our
kitchen, but nothing near has large as your accent wall.
I did some «budget - friendly» renovating of my
kitchen 2 yrs ago, stripping old wallpaper,
putting in the subway
tile backsplash, adding bright white beadboard halfway up walls and on the existing white cabinet ends, painting the rest of the walls soft white (sometimes looks very very pale yellow).
I would love to
put some glass
tiles in my
kitchen.
We debated
putting wood

My hubs is 61 — I am 58 and we still go strong on DIY — and we still make boo - boos — last year, we were redoing (or should I say the hubs was redoing) the floor

kitchen and am curious... how did you attach the beadboard to the
tile?
Gut reno the
kitchen and
put in something historically accurate — Shaker - style cabinets, wood floor or
tile, maybe even real linoleum, soapstone or marble countertops, etc. 4.
They did about 120
tiles (different pics of herbs) for me to
put up
in my
kitchen.
The
tiles in the bathroom are starting to wobble and come loose, the vinyl floor (which looked like real herringbone when they
put it down) is starting to come loose and stick up at the seams, and the
kitchen already needs replacing.
But I would probably get some
tile and
put my husband to work on countertops and a backsplash
in the
kitchen!
Or maybe
put up a
tile backsplash and around under my cabinets
in the
kitchen.

put in, the cabinets and walls were painted white, the sliding glass doors were replaced with French doors, the odd door from the den into the entry way was removed, the wagon wheel hanging over the area for the
kitchen table was removed, granite
tile countertops were installed, a beadboard backsplash was installed, a new sink was
put in, and the appliances from the 1960s were replaced.

in our
kitchen when we remodeled a year ago and it's one of my favorite elements.
When I first saw the film, I too was dazzled at all the little touches — the pendant chandelier, the odd, earth - tone colors, sparkling
kitchen tiles and the «red oak» floors (actually a substitute for a vulgar phrase,
in answer to the neighbor's inquiry, that they decided not to have Brad say, so they could
put it elsewhere — watch the DVD commentary).
To update this
kitchen, the homeowner and decorator Phoebe Howard installed hardwoods to match the rest of the house, swapped the dark black granite and
tile for Carrara marble counters and backsplash
tiles, changed the cabinet hardware,
put in a movable island, and painted just about everything.
