It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer

OT: My wishes: — Wenger to stop playing Mert ahead of Gab... this is a must — Wenger being ruthless and stop being stubbornness «big wish» — Wenger to change his transfer policy «big wish as well» — Not count on very injury prone players (Wilshere, Walcott, Ox, Welbeck), take them only as a bounce because they would never stay fit... Should this even be a topic?Giroud is a player of average quality always surrounded by good players.I just don't get. It's as if only Arsenal fans rate him. This was a player who was bought to be the leading striker at Arsenal and after his years of failure which many deny he's now become a super sub?How laughable is that. From failure to super sub.If the so called world class striker we're signing goes out with an injury for about five months who comes in then.It seems to me people lack vision. Why is it always Giroud Giroud Giroud? After so many seasons people are still debating what souldn't even be debatable.I've lost count of the number of times he's been talked about here. This is the problem with our club. It's just not ruthless. This is a player who should have been gone long ago but due to him being French he still gets the chances. We won't miss him when he goes and I'd like to see if he'd stand out in a smaller club.
if we do not buy one of the top strikers out there, we will finish the league as usual... as simple as that... walcott is not striker, striker must have off all stuff he possesses the first is technique, which he do nt have... I'm with you there mate. He's just an average player beign given many chances.A lot of average strikers can even do better because of the chances Arsenal creates. There are some strikers who are not top quality but have very good finishing that if given the same seasons and chances Giroud has had they can do better.I hate it when they make it seem like only world class strikers are better than him. He's really only improved from season 14/15 honestly speaking. He used to be so bad and waste a lot of chances. It's just that become can not see the fact that he's not as good as they think. We will surely be vindicated by his performance for another club.

why did we play Welbeck in the striker's role... no one can question his heart but to have a player with such limited first - touch and finishing skills against such a game opponent with Lacazette on the bench is almost unforgivable... maybe it's because Welbeck tows the party line or maybe it's because Welbeck doesn't know anything but 100 % on the pitch, unfortunately neither of these qualities makes him a capable starting striker on a team with any real aspirations... I can only hope that he was being showcased for a move elsewhere, as there was some talk last week about some interest from Everton... if he moved on that would be the only silver lining of this coach's decision, but once again it wouldn't excuse this club for putting business decisions ahead of fielding the best possible team to secure 3 points at Anfield
