Arsenal may be lacking in
quality players on the forward line, with just Olivier Giroud and an injured Danny Welbeck
as Arsenal's only real out and out
strikers, but it hasn't forced Wenger into the transfer market just quite yet and nobody really knows why.
As the likes of Ozila and Cazoral and co will always give minimum 2 goal scoring chances in all matches to our
striker with Pace and

The prolific

quality.

quality, he is too slow and does not have the ball control or technique to play
as a
striker in this level.
* We purchase a top
quality striker, Benzema, Higuain, Lacazette (choose your pic) * We give Theo a full season to prove himself up front and hopefully he can stay fit and improve with his hold up play, his movement off the ball and finishing has improved immensely (His finish in the FA Cup final wasn't
as easy
as he made it look... with his weaker foot) and we then sign Reus to play on the right.
As his agent says, it's important that the club has at least two competitive quality strikers and unfortunately as Welbeck can not stay fit, it's very important that Arsenal look to invest in another striker to provide competition to Giroud, rather than replace the Frenchma

The 20 + goals with Sanchez's 20 + goals will be good for the season,
as will the increased number of
quality crosses to the
striker.
Everyone n football and most of the same fans know Sanchez is our only player of
quality, Henry said he is the only player who would get into the Spurs squad, and we play him with one hand tied behind his back on the left wing with effectively no existing central
striker to worry defenders (unless you count Giroud
as a central
striker but I refuse to believe Giroud worries any central defender).
needs a
quality and versatile DM and
striker as minimum...
Giroud has always been good when he has a challenger for his position eg talks of a top
quality striker joining last season.giroud is also very important for Ramsey
as he allows him to run in behind.
if we wan na play Walcott

striker, then get us a
quality right winger... OX is gonna be huge for us next season but needs to work on his end product.
Would not be a long term option but this would therefore not hinder Holding and Chambers» development and free up more funds to sign a
quality striker like Lacazette / Aubameyang
as Pepe is out of contract.
Giroud plays week in week out and gets a lot of flack
as he's gone 8 games without a goal, yet theo who can be totally anonymous in games, then gets a little fortunate with every shot going in and scores a hat trick is suddenly a top
quality striker?
Such
as buying
quality strikers, and having a solid DM.
It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime...
as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a
striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive
qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
I only see Milik and Janssen
as our most realistic
striker targets currently but Wenger may still have a few tricks left him and somehow bring in a proven
quality striker.
Firmino is reportedly wanted by the Gunners
as they look to add a
quality striker alongside Giroud.
I even thought top clubs were in for him. Some three or 2 seasons back many here were debating why he should be our main
striker.
As soon
as you mention any other
strikers name people would come out with stats and many things defending him.Even Wenger has defended him blindly in the past.People say Wenger's stubborn yeah. But don't we know that there's a reason why everything happens?Honestly speaking he's the reason why Arsene Wenger has failed to sign a top notch
striker because he still believes in him.The funny thing is we signed Welbeck at that time who to me did nothing before to be the main man here.People keep saying Welbeck is hardworking and that he works his socks off.But the question is was that our reason for signing him.Welbeck being signed to challenge Giroud tells me a lot about Giroud's quality.Even Walcott (no offence to him) who has zero CF
qualities was even chosen over him for a string of games and all in all I think he did well but has too many defeciencies for that role. We've compromised
as a club and it'll come back to bite us.
we have at most 4 real
quality outfielders i.e. players that other top european teams would take... ozil sanchez santi and kos... in my books you need 6... we are two short but worse the
quality of others is lower than needed... only bellerin coq and wilshere have that potential... and there are problems with each still... we should have put in bids in june for griezman kondogbia and the Burussia
striker as all could have been prized away with right bid plus players thrown in IMO... now its too late and wenger is in some weird gallic world of existential hope and denial and fans are just praying we do nt lose opening 2 matches for first time in over two decades... but no one is really confident against a team which is sure to finish around mid table...
Now with Giroud out for 3 months Wenger wont be able to play the lone
striker upfront
as we don't have a player of that
quality, so what happens now,
OT: My wishes: — Wenger to stop playing Mert ahead of Gab... this is a must — Wenger being ruthless and stop being stubbornness «big wish» — Wenger to change his transfer policy «big wish
as well» — Not count on very injury prone players (Wilshere, Walcott, Ox, Welbeck), take them only
as a bounce because they would never stay fit... It is a dilemma because they are all
quality home grown players, so I can not say «get rid of them all» — Give our smart attacking players (Sanchez, Cazorla, Ozil) what they need, a
striker... that is a must — Strengthen the flank with another
quality because all the sights now on Sanchez — Get rid of useless team players (Campbell, Flamini, yes they are useless) and replace them with better players (promote or buy good ones)-- Loan Chamber... 16M is too much to ruin
how can we depend on arteta n flamini
as coq replacements?how can you say we do nt need a
striker n needs a winger while we have such
quality natural wingers in gnabry, Sanchez, walcott n OX?
What a failire he's become.He was bought
as the man supposed to lead the line and send us to glory and now he becomes a so called super sub.I don't get it.France's leading
striker is a super sub at Arsenal.Since he came here he's part of the reason why we've not been able to win the league. He's also part of the reason why Wenger remains hesitant in signing a world class
striker since for some reason he still believes in him. He's really affected Arsenal a lot which I don't kbow if many have realized. At times playing with him is like playing with no
striker at all. This inconsistencies won't help us at all going forward We have absolutely zero
quality in striking department.
I agree Lacazette is the
quality striker we crave I hope he can be
as momumental
as Ian Wright, Henry and hits the ground running stepping up like griezmann did for athletico
as he wasnt that profilic for real sociedad but smashed it a AM.
i think we should go all out for Henrikh Mkhitaryan the guys is total
quality, the PL may be faster paced but when he gets chances his
quality is first class, play Sanchez
as striker iwobi one side him the other and giroud
as a no 2.
There are better players technically but he's a real
quality player and I think he'd be perfect
as much for the fact he's versatile and the right wing /
striker positions is where our team could be improved and he fits that role perfectly.
We finally have a solid
striker (even if he will take some adaptation time I think he'll be true class) in Lacazette, we have solid center backs (once they are all healthy) much better than in recent seasons, Giroud is our killer weapon off the bench rather than the key we are relying on
as the main source of goals, Coquelin and Elneny are now midfield fall - back options rather than Flamini (no offense Mathieu, I appreciated your efforts, just making the obvious comparison), two high
quality keepers, etc..
Sanchez has the
quality to play in between midfield and the
striker position
as well
as pace to break beyond the defence.
When I see Giroud
as our main
striker honestly I feel ashamed, I even wonder how he scores his goals No ball playing
qualities at all!
yet you highlight some questionable areas
as well (DM depth and
Striker quality).
I think only barca real or Bayern can tempt those players away from leicester, they would give at least a year to the club, but season after that they will move onto other club depending on their form next season.
As for arsenal transfer i wouldn't want to listen to rumours
as most of the times these rumours are just utter garbage.i want a certain rumour about Wolfsburg signing giroud to be true.Anyways if our idiotic manager has some sense left in him after an embarrassing season he should get a premium
striker which the club needed for past 4 years. He need to put his ego aside and his old philosophy of waiting for players to develop. We need already established players in every department of our team.Penny pinching has cost us just pay the damn money get the players.I get the feeling next season is going to be harder and we have less chance of winning cause man city have had 2 seasons without premier league and guardiola is gonna bring more
quality and hunger to that team.
lst season at stamford bridge, was the first time i saw that 4 -1-4-1 formation being used, and for some weird reason i feel a very strange negative vibe and well all know the outcome.the manager has come back with this formation and its not yielding result, but he still sticks with it.i do nt know much about formations dear friends, but if you are playing a slow dm in arteta and a very very slow cb, then you are toast against
quality teams with sound tactics.wen playing wellbeck
as a lone striker, i think 4 -2-3-1, will work better, but if we have a big player like oliver (boooos), thn we can try the 4 -1-4-1, thingy cos he can hold the ball for our midfielders to run in.but on the overall, shame on wenger for not giving our defence a good cover DM.NO BODY PLAYS A SLOW DM / CB AND EXPECT TO B REGARDED AS CHAMPIONSHIP MATERIAL.IT HURTS GUYS, REALLY HURT

If our new first
quality choice
striker is injured we need someone equal
as good to backup and score goals....
My happiest moment in the past 10 seasons
as an Arsenal fan will be waking up on August 8, 2015 for the first premier league game of 2015/2016 and knowing that its a reality that Giroud is not the
striker who we are pinning our season on and that we have signed a top
quality striker.
I believe Wenger is happy to go with Giroud
as his nr 1 guy next season, and will dip into the transfer market only to look for a decent (and not top
quality)
striker as back - up to replace Welbeck.
I am very baffled
as to why we haven't signed a
striker yet.I liked diego Costa
as he was that finisher in arsenals mould and he went to chelsea for not an astronomical figure. The
quality and quantity of
strikers have dropped drastically.I saw Harry Kane's performance against us and i think he is that
striker with vision
as well
as finish like costa. But he is at Tottenham so i think he wouldn't come
as well.Benzema maybe better than giroud but is he the finisher we want (i don't watch la liga).
A
quality Striker such as Podolski does not need to back track and defend, he must challenge the Defenders and wait for counterattacks, a striker role is to sprint from midfield to goal, is not running all over the pitch as I see GIROUD and WELBECK, defending posts against corners, no wonder at the 60th minute they disappear, you need strong legs to sc

In turn, that has forced the Chilean tactician to field Raheem Sterling
as his
striker at times, and evidently it appears
as though he has acknowledged that he needs more depth and
quality in his squad in that area.
One things for certain, we must have similar
quality at
Striker as the Aguero / Costa / Kane / Ibras of our fellow contenders without compromising our LW having to put Alexis there.
He used the game
as evidence to show that our
striker is not actually the
quality player that he has been hailed
as.
Clueless player... Ramsey works hard but lacks the first touch anf finesse to be top
quality midfielder and doesn't create enough
as he thinks he's a
striker... Coq is work in progress....
He's not
as good
as strikers we've had in the past and he does lack pace but he has a lot of great
qualities and fits the team well.
That is a rare
quality as most
strikers out there are too one footed.
They bring different
qualities, much like alexis vs Giroud at
striker... Ospina is much better at reflex saves and probably does nt get beaten from range
as much
as Cech does, however Cech is much more commanding in the box when it comes to crosses and corners which is vital in the physical premier league, thus its all about what you are looking for in your keeper.
If we don't have a great
striker (or we still have Giroud
as the main
striker), another
quality DM, a cb that can take Mertersacker's position (whether Gabriel steps up or we get another cb) and to a lesser extent a goalkeeper, ** we will not win the EPL and CL.
