quality on the ball in Manchester United's midfield, there's no doubt Morgan Schneiderlin could make a huge impact at Old Trafford this season.

on the right.

lst season at stamford bridge, was the first time i saw that 4 -1-4-1 formation being used, and for some weird reason i feel a very strange negative vibe and well all know the outcome.the manager has come back with this formation and its not yielding result, but he still sticks with it.i do nt know much about formations dear friends, but if you are playing a slow dm
in arteta and a very very slow cb, then you are toast against
quality teams with sound tactics.wen playing wellbeck as a lone striker, i think 4 -2-3-1, will work better, but if we have a big player like oliver (boooos), thn we can try the 4 -1-4-1, thingy cos he can hold the
ball for our midfielders to run
in.but
on the overall, shame
on wenger for not giving our defence a good cover DM.NO BODY PLAYS A SLOW DM / CB AND EXPECT TO B REGARDED AS CHAMPIONSHIP MATERIAL.IT HURTS GUYS, REALLY HURTS.
We still struggle, look shaky and uncomfortable when we come up against any team that plays a high intensity game, teams that don't give us time
on the
ball,
in your face etc all give us a hard time, Watford did that
in the first half but poor final 3rd
quality saved us,
in the second half they were tired and knackered so we took advantage.
Well sead looks like the real deal.Physically strong, mentally tough, good control and
quality on the
ball and above all a FIGHTER.Let us hope that this performance yesterday was just a sign of things to come and that he will continue to give these kind of performances
on a consistent basis coz we desperately need everyone to step up
in order to win the epl.
But for sure underinvestment doesn't deliver especially if u want to compete
on two big fronts... Bellerin is the first of our young players to come through
in quite some time lots of expectation
in last 6 years but can't think of a real
quality player from the academy... Wilshere might if injuries hadn't prevented... Spurs now looking better
on that front Attitude is key I agree totally... love the way Leicester hunt down
ball in packs and break with 3 or even 4 players moving at speed...
Our team is out of balance
in a major way, too heavy
on midfield players who like the
ball on their foot and dribble
in the middle of the park and too light
on true dominant box to box midfield leaders and too light
on attacking goals scoring wide players and void of a top
quality striker.
While I am no manager, I'd seek a strong defensive midfielder
in the summer to partner Wilshere or Rambo, replace Cech with a
ball playing goalkeeper of significant
quality and consider replacing Bellerin
on the right of our defence.
My reasoning is that the Vikings need some real difference makers
in the trenches
on both sides of the
ball (OG / C / DT / OT), and most mocks I've seen show most of the «starter
quality» are gone by the third round, certainly by the fourth.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense
in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the
ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through
balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes
in the same clinical fashion we did years ago...
on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender
on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess
in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive
qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself
in trouble when he gets overly aggressive
on the
ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required
in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling
in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the
ball too long, gives the
ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities
on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long
ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points
in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis
in a more advanced role
on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself
in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him
in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive
in the final third...
on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players
in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence
in Real or the space and protection he receives
in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily
on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived
in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components...
in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them
in large part as headless chickens who are
on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion
in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay
on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin
in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation...
in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen
on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the
ball too long and he will give the
ball up a little too often
in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and
in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class
qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place
in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez was
in and out of the game
in the first half but he really turned it
on after the half - time interval as Brighton couldn't deal with his movement and
quality on the
ball.
Hes a jedi but i agree we need cazorla back or player like him or rosicky or song and coquin wasnt song who can still play with the passing of the other players
in the team xhaka is usually good
on ball but so bad off of it hes been a bust so far we almost need the french connection again they have
quality players we could use but honestly i think auba will be more effective
on flank pnce we get laca back it takes alot of strength to play up front
in the premier league it takes two years to rebuild
in pl at least bit we have had two rough years and not nearly as rough as chelseas or man u or Liverpool or well this is as big as totteham will be before we make them drop down again and oh do nt forget man city either lets remember our history
In the clip — which shows Memphis showboating with United wonderkid Josh Harrop — the former PSV Eindhoven star is seen demonstrating some of his remarkable footwork, his agility
on the
ball and his excellent
quality of invention.
Willian scores top marks
in this one as he was unfortunate not to have more than the one goal, and the Brazilian was a constant threat to the visitors with his technical
quality on the
ball.
Overall, Wenger's system is heavily reliant
on quality passing, and technical ability, especially
in central midfield when one doesn't get a lot of time
on the
ball.
He goes from being
in possession of the
ball to having a heavy touch and now he is reaching out or sliding
in to win the
ball back he just lost (with his
QUALITY dribbling into players not around them) YES
on very rare occasions he pulls off some flicks and one touch play but NOT constant enough.
The league has yried that but liverpool even us with coqueluin
in and liverpool won pace and pressure and if we add pass
on flanks wilshere can be a release valve with his quick feet and first 10 yards of pace a lay off to ozil for a
quality ball and pace will close them down and stretch them out
Wilshere needs another manager to improve... I have a lot of time for him but he stands around too much waiting for
ball whereas before he used to hunt for the
ball... but whatever happens we are 6 players short of a
quality team... years of penny pinching and over indulging crap players by a clueless manager who is a legend
in his own mind... people go
on about guardiolas spending
in the summer but the team we are now watching play the best football
in epl history only has 2 new additions from last year Emerson and walker... I guess mendy would start if fit... we have 2 new players too but we are further behind than ever!!
It's clear that sterling is already a better player for England because his first touch, movement off
ball and dribbling are superior... Best let the ox who is work
in progress be given a starting chance... Whippets can be brought
on in last 20 minutes when defences are tired... But should sell him
in January as part of package to bring
in reus or player of real
quality
A player will not change our fortunes — we have enough
quality in the team if the manager does not force people to play out of their positions and if the players do their job — Next match Arsenal should just focus
on shutting shop at Liverpool and go for a cleansheet — the midfield needs to be told to focus
on disrupting more and just give the
ball to ozil / Sanchez — just sit back and stop attacks.
Injuries have held the international back at Liverpool
in recent years, but he had previously been one of the team's most important players, combining strong defensive ability with high work rate and
quality on the
ball.
Further, Pedro still has plenty to prove after a decent if not extravagant first year
in England, and given his pace, movement,
quality on the
ball and work ethic, he's arguably a perfect fit for Conte's plans next season.
decent but just not enough creativity
in the middle of the park... elneny passes the
ball backwards more than ramsey... xhaka does not move
ball on quickly enough... iwobi fine but ox and bellerin looked very poor so still the same issue...
quality midfield ballplayer and attacking options still needed
Quality is not all about goals or stats you know.If it was a lot of Arsenal players would have been sold and many players would not even be regarded.People need to look at the bigger picture. He scored 16 goals last two season as the starting CF.You and I know that based on the chances he gets he should've been doing better. The guy is not even a clinical player from what we watch yet people will always deny that fact. The only case people make up for Giroud is his goals. They can't even talk about his quality on the ball and others because it's non existent. He was part of the reason why Arsenal couldn't win the trophy in 15/16 season. It's a shame we are compromising and refuse to state things the way they are.Even if Giroud scores 40 goals in the EPL qualoty wise he's still a

Wenger appears to recognize that a team requires a good player
on the
ball in the DM pos, if you look at pre gazidis era then we see Wenger had made sure we had
quality in those roles.
He also has great
quality on the
ball and if he were
on a team that had better speed and movement
in the forward line, he would be able to use his passing ability to greater effect.
you people are genuinely clueless... he had the highest pass rate of any arsenal player including a couple of ozil
quality... he is the only central player we have who can open up play from the middle... he holds
on to
ball too long sometimes
in part because his support is from donkeys like ramsey and walcott
here is the simple truth a team that has walcott giroud campbell merteshaker flamini and ramsey starting wont win trophies... not one is a top class player
in their position... having two
on the park
on regular basis is not a problem and three can probably still ensure 4th place... if we want to go beyond that we need to bring
in two top class players
in to the midfield and attack (thats
in addition to the
quality returnees we do have) and to increase the work rate particulalry when we do nt have the
ball by a good ammount... that was true 3 years ago 3 months ago and 3 days ago... wenger had the nerve recently to say not signing an outfielder
in the summer had been vindicated... the man has been drinking his own kool aid
Sanchez's
quality on the
ball will be instrumental to Arsenal's quest for three points against Stoke City as his potential to win matches is not
in doubt, as was evident against West Ham following a well - deserved hat - trick.
Adding
on to that, today proved how much
quality Jack offers, without him England are CLUELESS with the
ball, Wilshere practically carried England to qualify for the Euros hence why he won 4 MOTM
in a row.
Having Axetze
in front as an outlet would instead have result
in more
quality on shooting, or providing dangerous
balls into the box.
Pairing defensive solidity with technical
quality on the
ball, he'll arguably be a perfect fit for Guardiola's style of play, while he'll add much - needed depth
in the backline as he will undoubtedly hope to displace either Stones or Otamendi
in the starting line - up.
Key player: Ki Sung - Yueng — The South Korea midfielder gives Swansea
quality on the
ball and organisation
in midfield and their upturn
in results have coincided with his return to the team.
Calvert - Lewin's ability to win
balls in the air and also chase down long
balls has made him a good outlet for Everton, however he doesn't currently possess the
quality on the
ball to make him a game - changer for Everton with such little support — Cenk Tosun may offer that, but it remains to be seen.
The top attackers
in world football are reliable; they often find themselves
in the right places to get high
quality chances meaning you can count
on them to put the
ball in the back of the net with regularity.
Though his value to his team out
on the wing, and
quality on the
ball and
in the dribble, remains as high as ever, he is no longer a player that can be relied upon to be ready and available to make the difference when it matters most.
We've created a few opportunities but when you see the ability that we have
in training it has left us a bit frustrated because that bit more
quality on the
ball could have seen us create more and win the game.
