It didn't surprise me that a number of editors and agents referred to the standard
query letter format as «the hook, the book, and the cook» (as described in last week's post).
That said, follow
these query letter format guidelines unless a literary agent specifically asks you for something different.
The good news is that most book agents agree on the best
query letter format; however, some publishing agents have unique submission requirements.
Now that we have that out of the way, I'll walk you through the three different query letter methods and make sure you're using the best
query letter format for each book agent.

The world of writing is challenging, but in the same way that you get to the end of your first chapter, you can get to the end of your first
query letter; to the end of your draft; to the end of your manuscript
formatting; and to the start of your publishing contract.
